DEAR WORLD
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l

Dear World,

It appears that you are hard to please. I understand that you are upset over us, here in Israel. Indeed, it appears that you are quite upset, even angry and outraged! Indeed, every few years you seem to become upset over us. Today, it is the brutal repression of the Palestinians; yesterday, it was Lebanon; before that it was the bombing of the nuclear reactor in Baghdad and the Yom Kippur War campaign.

It appears that Jews who triumph and who, therefore, live, upset you most extraordinarily. Of course, dear world, long before there was an Israel, we, the Jewish people - upset you.

We upset a German people who elected a Hitler and we upset an Austrian people who cheered his entry into Vienna and we upset a whole slew of Slavic nations - Poles, Slovaks, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Russians, Hungarians, Romanians. And we go back a long, long way in the history of world upset.

We upset the Cossacks of Chmielnicki who massacred tens of thousands of us in 1648-49; we upset the Crusaders who, on their way to liberate the Holy Land, were so upset at Jews that they slaughtered untold numbers of us. We upset, for centuries, a Roman Catholic Church that did its best to define our relationship through Inquisitions. And we upset the arch-enemy of the Church, Martin Luther, who, in his call to burn the synagogues and the Jews within them, showed an admirable Christian ecumenical spirit.

It is because we became so upset over upsetting you, dear world, that we decided to leave you - in a manner of speaking - and establish a Jewish State. The reasoning was that living in close contact with you, as resident-strangers in the various countries that comprise you, we upset you, irritate you, disturb you.

The Stranger In Thy Midst
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l

"And it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the L-rd, thy G-d, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command thee this day, that all the curses shall come upon thee and overtake thee ... The stranger in thy midst shall mount up above thee higher and higher and thou shalt come down lower and lower ... he shall be the head and thou shalt be the tail"
(Deuteronomy 28)

The future is now. With a vengeance. And the Divinely inevitable, the historically immutable, unfolds as some unstoppable Jewish tragedy. The winter is here and the sound of "Itbach-al-Yahud" is again heard in the Land. "Slaughter the Jew!" Thousands of young Arabs, educated to the limitations placed on Israeli soldiers, confront them with stones and curses and taunts and pledges of slaughter. Women face the soldiers and dare them to put them down. The winter of discontent, the promise of a spring of escalating violence and a summer of raging fury.

The Arab uprising in Eretz Israel compels even that most stiff-necked of people, sublimely obstinate in their unwillingness to see what is so stark and obvious and THERE, to open their eyes and shudder. The stranger in the midst of Israel, the stranger who was so insanely ALLOWED to remain in the midst of Israel, has (once again) mounted up and risen and becomes the head even as the Jew falls, comes down lower and lower, and becomes the tail. It says everything, the reactions of the tiny people who run the State of Israel. As suicide bombers terrorize our streets and kill our people; as days of violent clashes between Arabs and Israeli soldiers drag on; as stones and fire bombs are mixed with curses and taunts of Israeli soldiers by Arab youth and women who are so clearly not frightened, our leaders can do no more than request, AGAIN, that the PLO "do more" to "curb" terror!

Isolation
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l
May/June 1990

KAHANE Magazine (Brooklyn, New York)

Isolation. The Jew does not wish to be isolated. He fears being alone, without allies. He fears man, he trusts only in man and so - in the exquisitely Divine way of the Almighty - precisely that which he fears will be sent upon him. He fears to do that which the Almighty demands - to annex the territories and establish Jewish sovereignty over them, as part of the Holy Land of Israel. The Almighty repays him by turning them into burning caldrons of an intifada, with confused Israeli youth not knowing whether these Holy lands are indeed Jewish or "occupied". While a world that is normal and knows that if land belongs to you then you annex it, feels free to condemn a country that does not do so as an "occupier".

He fears to throw out the cancer raging in his midst - the Arab enemy - lest the world turn on him. He is repaid measure for measure by a grim Almighty as the world,! daily, condemns him for "oppression" of people that would not have been there had he had faith in G-d rather than fear of the Gentile.

An Israeli Tragedy
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l
5 Cheshvan 5750 / November 3, 1989

She was 18 years old when she died. She was 18 years old when she was murdered. She was 18 years old when she was murdered and her body burned to ashes. She was 18 years old when she was burned by the Arabs she had left her home to live with. But it was not only the Arabs who had murdered her.

She was 18 years old and her name was Ziva Goldovsky and she had been a member of the Mapam youth, the youth of the leftist, Marxist, Hellenist, anti-religious anti-nationalistic movement that symbolizes all the confusion and gentilization that drags the State of Israel into the depths of a tragedy that has already taken the life of an 18 year old, bewildered, confused, and troubled Jewish girl.

A Mezuza
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l
11 Kislev 5733 (November 17, 1972)

There is no mezuza on the Old City of Jerusalem's Damascus Gate (Shaar Sh'chem). And it is important that every Jew understand why other major entrances to the Old City, such as Jaffa Gate, DO have mezuzot while this one does not; why there once WAS a mezuza at Shaar Sh'chem (it was taken down by Arabs and never replaced by Mayor Teddy Kollek),and why Meir Kahane demanded that he be allowed to put up the mezuza, was refused permission, and as a result a number of his supporters were arrested.

The Old City of Jerusalem is surrounded by the famous wall that is such an attraction for all tourists. Entrance to the Old City is through a number of gates, of which Jaffa and Damascus are the two most famous and heavily travelled. After the 1967 War, mezuzot were placed on all the gates, including Damascus (or Sh'chem); Arabs PROMPTLY ripped off the latter one. The Israeli government preferred not to notice and allowed the desecration to remain unanswered. Why?

Defense
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l

In all the furor that has been created in Israel and the world Jewish community over the suggestion by certain "radical" Jews that Israeli Arabs be transferred from the country, there appears to be forgotten the fact that such an action would only be the second part of an ultimate exchange of populations.

The fact is, that with the creation of the Jewish state in 1948, hundreds of thousands of Jews fled Arab countries, almost all of whom left behind all their property for which compensation was never paid. It is worth while to look at the record before we dismiss the concept of the transfer of Arabs from Israel.

What makes Bernie run?
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l

(Federal prison, Manhattan, Lag Ba'Omer, April 29, 1975)

Once there was a television program, which centered about the theme of intermarriage. The heroes of the piece were named Bernie and Brigitte. The American Jewish Establishment put great pressure on the particular network that televised the series and the program was ultimately dropped. Bernie and Brigitte were no longer. They had been canceled...

How relatively simple it was to cancel Bernie and Brigitte on television and how much more difficult to struggle against the curse and cancer of intermarriage and assimilation that exists in real American Jewish life. How simple to picket a television series to death and how hard to stamp out the disease that afflicts us daily in the real-life existence that is the lot of American Jewry. lf we no longer find Bernie and Brigitte strolling hand in hand across our television screens we need only look at our campuses, at our streets at our neighborhoods, Bernie is alive and well.

What makes Bernie run? What makes Bernie run after Brigitte? What makes Bernie run away from Judaism and cut the chain of generations? What makes Bernie run away from the Judaism that his great-grandfather clutched at the risk of loss of happiness material wealth and so often very life? What makes Bernie run? This is the question that drives the American Jewish Establishment to frantically set up committees, study groups, surveys and commissions. This is the question that drives them to study the problem again and again and then again. This is the question to which they allocate so much time and so much communal money. This is the question that is at the top of their puzzled order of priorities, over which they scratch their collective well-groomed heads: What makes Bernie run?

On Revenge
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l

(Excerpted from OHR HARA'AYON [The Jewish Idea], Chapter12)

Love has its place, as does hate. Peace has its place, as does war. Mercy has its place, as do cruelty and revenge. The Torah dons sackcloth over the distortion of the concept of revenge, which has become a target for the arrows of all Jewish Hellenists and worshippers of the alien culture, as if revenge were negative and evil by nature.

The very opposite is true! No trait is more justified than revenge in the right time and place. G-d, Himself, is called NOKEM, Avenger: "The L-rd is a zealous and avenging G-d. The L-rd avenges and is full of wrath. He takes revenge on His adversaries and reserves wrath for His enemies" (Nachum 1:2). Our sages also said (Berachot 33a), "Shall we say that even revenge is great because it appears between two names of G-d? 'A G-d of vengeance is the L-rd' (Psalms 94:1). Rabbi Elazar responded, 'Indeed. Where revenge is necessary, it is a great thing.'"

The Temple Mount
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l
(from Uncomfortable Questions for Comfortable Jews, 1987)

It was the unforgettable, majestic, glorious day in June, 1967, as Jewish soldiers crashed through the walls of Jerusalem's old city. Redeeming, reclaiming, liberating the ancient streets and alleyways; racing towards the Wall, scaling it and then - the electrifying words of the Commander, Motta Gur: "The Temple is in our hands! The Temple Mount is in our hands!"

There was not a Jewish heart that did not pound with a sense of Divine, historic moment. There was not a Jewish spine, so straight and proud after two millenia of being supine, that did not shiver in a sense of awe. There was not a Jew, though the most extreme of scoffers, who, at that moment, did not see G-d!

"The Temple Mount is in our hands!" Jerusalem of Gold, of holiness, of David; Zion, out of which the L-rd roared and uttered his voice. The Temple Mount, from which the trumpet the Holy One, Blessed Be He, blasted. "When our fee within thy gates, O Jerusalem" - we wept with tears of disbelief. For the Temple Mount was in our hands. . . "As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the L-rd is round about people" - and we knew it to be true. For the Temple Mount in our hands. "Ye that stand in the courts of the House of G-d, praise the L-rd!" And we believed. For the Temple Mount in our hands!

Regretting the Exile
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l

"Four things does the Almighty regret having made: Exile, the Chaldeans (Babylon - modern day Iraq), the Ishmaelite and the Evil Inclination." (Tractate Sukkot 52b)

It is obvious why the Almighty regrets having created the Chaldeans who burned the Holy Temple. It is more than obvious why he regrets having made the Ishmaelites ...

And, of course, since man's sins stem from Evil Inclination within him, that is also an obvious reason for regret. But why does the Almighty regret having made the Exile?

After all, the Exile is a punishment for Jewish sins. And having, indeed, created the Evil Inclination and the enemies who drive Jews out of their land, the Exile remains a logical punishment for the Jewish people.

The reason is, clearly, that far from chastening the Jew and bringing him to repentance, the Exile made things much worse. It did nothing less than corrupt and pervert the purity and truth of Torah, creating instead various counterfeits of "Judaism" and "Jewishness."

From the original, Divine concept of the Jew, there have arisen two essentially fraudulent concepts, one calling itself "religion" and the other "nationalism."

There Is No Palestine
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l
(Written in 1974)

There is no "Palestinian people" and there is no "Palestine." The lands that today constitute the State of Israel, Judea, Samaria (the West Bank), Gaza and the Golan are parts of Israel, the sole land of the Jews.

The Jewish claim to the Land of Israel is not an ordinary nationalist one. It is NOT merely derived from the fact that ONCE Jews were sovereign there, were the majority, ruled the land under their own government and that never was the land empty of Jews. All this is true but this is not the main claim of the Jewish people. Jewish refusal to give up lands is sometimes based on the logical and self evident fact that to give up lands to a people that has constantly threatened to destroy you is sheer madness, and that Jews dare not trust to their kindly intentions in the future. This too, is true, but again, it is not the reason for Jews remaining on the lands liberated after June, 1967.

Behold the dreamer
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l
"Kahane" magazine (Feb 1978) p.10-11

"And they said one to another: 'Behold, the dreamer....' " (Genesis 37)

It is said in the Talmud that from the time that the Temple was destroyed prophecy was given over to children and fools. The concept is staggering! Prophecy! Is there anything greater for man to achieve? Prophecy! To be in deepest communion with G-d, to sense the future, to speak of that which will be. What an astounding gift and it is given over to children and fools?

There is profound and sad wisdom in the words of the rabbis who contemplated a post-Destruction world that saw not only a Temple structure leveled but also a human level lowered and profaned. The end of the spiritual presence of the Temple and the flight of the Shechina, the Divine presence, led also to the debasement of the spiritual nature of man. His faith and belief in things that were part of the soul were replaced by an inability to believe in that which he could not see and touch. Pragmatism and realism and logic became his yardsticks and touchstones and cynicism and doubt were his natural reactions to visions and dreams.

Down With Hanukah
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l

If I were a Reform rabbi; if I were a leader of the establishment whose money and prestige have succeeded in capturing for himself the leadership and voice of American Jewry; if I were one of the members of the Israeli Government's ruling group; if I were an enlightened sophisticated, modern Jewish intellectual, I would climb the barricades and join in battle against that most dangerous of all Jewish holidays - Hanukah.

It is a measure of the total ignorance of the world Jewish community that there is no holiday that is more universally celebrated than the "Feast of Lights," and it is an equal measure of the intellectual dishonesty and hypocrisy of Jewish leadership that it plays along with the lie. For if ever there was a holiday that stands for everything that the masses of world Jewry and their leadership has rejected - it is this one. If one would find an event that is truly rooted in everything that Jews of our times and their leaders have rejected and, indeed, attacked - it is this one. If there is any holiday that is more "un-Jewish" in the sense of our modern beliefs and practices - I do not know of it.

"You think it is pleasant to speak painful truths that cause pain to those who refuse to listen and who then react with pain and hate against the one who speaks? You think it is easy to be the messenger that brings forth the reaction, 'Kill the messenger?'"

Rabbi Meir Kahane - The Jewish Press

David Hatuel's pregnant wife Tali and their four daughters were killed in cold blood while in their car, at close range. Israel's response was a pathetic search of terrorists, a reflection of their innablilty to comprehend the real cause of Arab hatred.

"There is a peace that can only be found in the other side of war"

These words carry a message of wisdom that few in Israel seem to understand. Transferring Arabs into Jordan, where they are not wanted seems an impossible dream. Killing them is an even more horrifying thought; And remaining in this status-quo is treasonous against our own. Transfer is the only solution.

TWO URGENT APPEALS:

1. Due to the new designations issued by the U.S. State Department, we urge you to sign the following petition:

Petition against the banning of Kahane

What is the difference between other sites that the US State Department have branded "terror web sites" and this one? The difference is that here you will not find any incitement to comit murder. You will not find guides on bomb-making, seting traps, learning about firearms. You will not see anything remotely grousome, nor will you find anything intentionally offensive. So why is this site listed together with Hamas, Islamic Jihad and a few other real terror websites?
Our guess is twofold. One the one hand the American government would like to show that there is an 'evenhand' regarding terror, that not only Muslims are branded terrorists but some Jews are too (even if unfounded and baseless).
On the other hand, there is a great fear of the Israeli government regarding any group or person that might want to disseminate the teachings of Rabbi Kahane. Any person who openly spouses the idea that Jordan is Palestine and that the hostile Arabs that reside in Israel must be relocated to Jordan represents a threat to their power structure. It doesn't matter that this solution is the only solution that will end the Arab-Israeli conflict (with the exeption of all the Jews being pushed into the sea), and Sharon and his cronies will continue doing nothing exept damage, and will refuse to their end to accept the truth and the real solution to the Jewish State of Israel.

2. Please click now to TRANSFERISTHEANSWER.COM and register to vote on the referendum against Sharon's insane dissengagement plan.

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Most young people I meet have never heard of Rabbi Kahane, and those that recognize the name, know it only from the leftist bashing. "Oh, yeah, the Rabbi who wanted to kill all the Arabs..." I cringe when I hear this, thinking to myself, this is how the Nazi propaganda managed to silence the few Jews that wanted to warn of the incoming evil. Rabbi Kahane proposed to pay large amounts of money to Arabs for them to leave our land. For that he was branded a racist and a fascist and later banned from government.

I am saddened to see how the hacklers, bashers and leftists have brought destruction to our land and to our children and to those who love God and our homeland; and now they wish they had a leader like Rabbi Kahane to help them rid Israel of the cancer that consumes her. As we witness bus bombings and unseen horror, ask yourselves, what would King David had done?
